The Toy Fox Terrier is a fantastic little companion dog. His/her personality has been referred to as
"the terrier without the trauma!" But make no mistakes as the Toy Fox Terrier is still a terrier. The
Toy Fox has not lost any of his spirit or courage handed down from his ancestors. His ability and
desire to hunt remains a fixed characteristic.
This is a dog that needs plenty of exercise along with mental stimulation. A dog that wants to be with their owners all the time, the constant companion, loving and loyal. As all dogs require, they do need training, but the TFT is very willing to please and responds very well to positive methods and voice control. A highly intelligent breed ready to learn whatever you want to take the time to teach them; even learning to do service work. They can make great little hearing dogs for those of us hard of hearing. This little breed is a pleasant, fun loving dog to have around.
The Toy Fox Terrier is also a space saver. He requires just a little spot on the bed for sleeping and
makes an excellent apartment dog because of his small size. He doesn't eat too much either making it easier to pay for a high quality food.
